Replacing Struts
 

I'm new to this forum and new to BMW's. I just bough a 94 318is with 54k and the left front strut is leaking so I'm going to replace both. They are the origianal factory struts. I also have a 95 325is (parts car) that has the sport supension, so I plan to swap my standard 318 springs for the 325 sport springs. The struts on the 325 are totally gone. I've done a bunch of reading of the threads on this forum and have decided to go with Billstein Sports. I'm more interested in a smooth ride, though. I also want my front end lowered about 1.5 - 2 inches.

1. Have any of you experienced the difference between the Heavy Duty Billsteins compared to the Sport Billsteins?
2. If I choose the Heavy Duty Billsteins will they be compatible with the Sport springs? (Will they be too long?)
3. How much will the Sport springs lower my front end?
