Yesterday around lunch my car was parked across the street from my school. I went in for like 1hour for gym and to see my gf. And after i went to lunch with a friend, we came back to the car to see someone had backed into the front of it.

After that we went to the police and my insurance company, and of course the dealer for an estimate on repairs. Fortunately the most expensive part of the repairs will be having stuff re-painted.

Heres a list of what was damaged:

-Both front grills bent
-The hood has a 6 inch scratch and is bent slightly
-The area were the HL washers would be (i dont have em) is bent in about an inch
-The front bumper has a very deep scratch in it
-The headlight seem a bit out of place

Total for all the damage plus paint and labour: a whopping $1,433.

All but $500 is covered by my insurance company fortunately.

You can see the extent of the damage in the pics. Ironicly the same day my mom backed the van into a pole, destroying the right taillight.

What a low life to do that and leave no info!

But I guess not as bad as this girl I know that was drunk and demolished and bent a whole car and left no info. Car totaled.

Wow... that must have ruined your whole day. My familiy and I were on a vacation visting reletives and our van was totaled by a hit-and-run driver (we weren't in it thakfully). But it was ok in the end though. We got rid of the totaled Arrowstar, bought a new one (I forgot what its called) and it is a whole lot nicer (a TON of leg room, small flip down tv, better seats), so like I said, we are better off without it.

the other day when i was at my grocery store job(about to quit to just work my hotel job of valet and bellhoping), i was outside getting shopping carts... all the sudden i see this beat up mitshi eclipserolling out of a parking spot... i squint my eyes in confusion... keep trying to see if there is a driver...but i do not see one... i keep looking trying to see if its an oldie (they cant see over steering wheels... but nope..not even an oldie.. just a rolling car... it approches a BRAND NEW MERCEDES AND XTERRA, dealer plates and all.. it keeps rolling and rolling... and rolling.... all the sudden, BAM! rolls right into these 2 new parked cars... i start laughing my ass off in disbelief... then i call over a guy that works with me and we were just standing there laughing... we took a picture of it on his phone, including the eclipes license plate.... a minute later one of the most goofy ass dorks i have seen about 25ish, walks out of subway accross the street... he casually walks over to the spot where the eclipse used to be... he looked really confused, then looked back... his expression was just (oh, how did my car get all the way over there)...even though he damaged the 2 new cars that it is crashed into... he looks around.... with like 10 people just looking at him like (WTF?!....) and with my coworker and i just laughing at him.... then he gets in the eclipse and drives off as fast and goofy as humanly possible.... then the mercedes owner(younger pregnant woman) came out and we told her what happened and showed her that we got a picture of it all.....
turns out that her husband is an insurance agent... lol...

that goofy guy is going to get so owned..hahaha BITCH!

Sorry to hear your car got hit and the driver didn't leave any info. Society as a whole is going down hill. A lot of people don't value other people's property as a whole. It really is sad....

what an ass.

a similar incident happend to me over the winter. I was in getting food from a local restaurant. there was a light snow cover in the parking lot, but nothing too major. As i was waiting for food, i heard a crack, but figured it was from the kitchen and paid no attention to it. When i got to my car, my rear bumper was lying on the ground. i was like, WTF

the "crack" i heard, was a dude pulling out and he slid and hit the rear wheel well, breaking the hinges that held the bumper on, on that side.

i managed to fix it myself, since i couldnt afford to get a new bumper at the time. but people need to learn to take responsibility for their actions.

this shit is ridiculous, and out of hand. hit and runs need to stop. both my car and my dads 911 have been victims, and it just goes to show how low people can stoop. good luck on a quality repair job
