'94 318i will not crank, EWS??
Hi, I have an early '94 318i 5-speed that hasn't been used for about 6-months. It started fine once but I removed the battery for charging anyway. After reinstalling the battery my car will not start. It do not offer and the solenoid does not click. Everthing else lights up and functions as per normal. Just won't start..Could this be the EWS? If so how do I re-enable my car? Thanks!! |

Mine had similar malady . Ended up being ' tired and toasted ' ECU - electronic control unit - which I had to get replaced and new set of ignition keys obtained . Cost me NZ $700 ! All this after I was told it was probably the fuel pump - and that cost me NZ $ 450 ! ! ? Car going fine now though . |
