abs light

hi all...im a new member and i must say what a goodun!...heres my 1st post and problem.ABS light is on permanently,ive cleaned sensors etc,new bearings on front.ive heard that it could be a relay,if so any1 know which one it is ?...cheers all

Could you be more specific on what you mean by "cleaned the sensors"? There is an electrical connection in the cable that's fairly easy to pull apart and check, but there's also the connection in the wheel hub that should be inspected, but is a bit more difficult to undo. I haven't heard of a relay failure, although I suppose that's possible, my guess is that if cleaning the connection I referred to above doesn't do the trick, then the wheel speed sensor is in for replacement.

thanks for reply...the "bits" ive cleaned off are in the wheel hub,i did them when changing bearings (and the connectors in wheel arch)

its usually a bad speed sensor that causes the abs light to come on.
