why you should never buy anything from DDM

heres another example, as everyone knows i had a set of DDM coilovers fail about 3 miles after install, this was the result, if the roof had collapsed any further id be dead/paralized.......stay far away from their crap.

I was so close to a lawsuit it wasn't even funny, but because i installed it myself i had no grounds according to my lawyer.

one of these days ill take pictures of the horribly mangled front strut that failed, the inside of the welds look like a 5 year old welded them, I can do a better job and i barely have any experience.

needless to say the M3 is getting ASTs of some sort

after sitting for about an hour tonight studying the threads on BFc and Carolina Euros, I finally realized what really happened to my car. It turns out it was the exact same thing as what happened to the other guy, the weld failed, which explains the 3 skid marks and not 4, the car was tripoding because of the failed weld. I knew there was a reason that i still had these still lying around. (sorry and iphone is not the best camera) And for the record, I dont remember hitting the brakes before i went off the road, I just remember closing my eyes and holding on when i realized i couldnt do any more than i already did.

The damage to the bottom of the collar, aka where the metal is all smashed in, was from the rock that i hit off the road, dragging the car onto the tow truck and removing it from the tow truck when we put it into the storage unit to dismantle.

now this is so far into the past i really dont care anymore, but this is the 4th time (not including mine) ive heard of one of those brackets failing, there was a local shop in cary that does alignments and bmw race car prep that had seen it happen and had advised me against them and told me to go with groundcontrols like he had on his e30.

I refuse to post anymore, let the purchasers make up their own mind, for the record a set of AST5100s is going on my M3, ive had it with cheap stuff, and im glad the PO had the common sense to go oem with everything he put on the car.
