Engine Compression Figures?

Just did a compression test on my m42 and all cylinders showing 180psi, is that a good or a bad reading, what is the factory spec? cheers.

Sounds good but the real question is are they all consistent with each other? within less than 20% variation across the engine? If so I'd say you're in good shape.

the fact they are all the same is excellent news but you need to verify acceptable levels for your motor to ensure you are "in range" 180 sounds just about right to me.
on the e36 m engine 170lbs is considered low and new is ~225lbs
