Windshield Wiper Woes
Hey fellow bimmer heads,
Here is an odd one for all you tech savy folks. Ya know when you use the winshield washer on your car, and the fluid sprays and the wipers will activate on a timer and swing a few times then stop. Well mine does not. I hit the ww and the fluid sprays on my windsheild but the wipers do nothing unless I actually togle the mist or on modes. Now before we start suspecting the culprits in this case check this out. When I disconect the washer pump and toggle the cleaning, the wipers respond as designed. Well I replaced the pump (53 flippin bucks at the dealer) and it still did the same thing. So I thought the control module. Well I replaced that yesterday, which was a real pain trying to find without the manual infront of me, and still the same problem. I am not sure what else there would be to check except the motor, but either that works or not. Any advise on this matter will be appreciated.

You need to get a wiring diagram and find out HOW that specific circuit is triggered. You most likely have a bad ground somewhere, causes all kinds of crazy operation.
