Stellar aftermkt. keyless entry not working
I recently purchased a Stellar BMW45PC aftermarket keyless entry system for my daughter's '96 328is coupe. It is prewired for the aftermarket alarm so you just take out the glove box and plug in the alarm unit. Installation was a breeze but then the problems started. The remotes transmit fine and the unit activates the door actuators but only rarely locks and unlocks the doors. I spoke to the folks at the Hoffman Group (distributors of the Stellar product) and they told me that older cars may develop feedback into the keyless entry unit and prevent it from working properly. Has anyone had this problem with a Stellar unit? Has anyone installed one and had it work properly? |
