Stiff steering in the morning
I guess while I'm here I will throw this one out there. We got the car off an Elvis impersonator from Florida, has some mystery warping in the interior and really bad paint, but only had 89,000 miles. On cold mornings the steering was really stiff, so it seemed to get right after a long drive and resetting the ignition, turning the car off then back on. The guys at the shop said the pump was going out because of a hose leak that was slow, I kept the fluid up and they talked me into replacing the pump instead of just the hose. Still had the stiff steering on cold mornings, so they put in another pump, still stiff steering on cold days, seems to work great on warm days. Any ideas?

A Fluid change did not help. Two new pumps did not help. It seems like an electrical issue. I read about a servo somewhere or maybe a fuse.....but thanks anyway.

Check the fluid level, or try to bleed the pump system. May take a vac pump while running to do it. Occasionally you can get little bubbles trapped in the system and when its cold the issue if more pronounced, once you have only clear clean fluid with no air you should have no more problem
