Strange electrical problem related to trunk wiring harness?
I've had something strange occur to me twice over the past few days. The car would be parked, and locked. I'd return to the car, unlock it, get in, put the key in the ignition to start it, and nothing, I mean absolutely nothing. The radio doesn't come on, no dash lights, even the door lock system doesn't work, the doors would have to be locked or unlocked individually. The odd thing is that opening the trunk would bring back the electrics, and I could start the car as usual, no problem at all, and drive off.
The first time this happened, about five days ago, I had to reset the onboard computer (time, date, even year) and the radio; this last time, only the radio (makes no sense).
A weird situation for sure. I don't know if the trunk wiring harness may be to blame, nor do I know if the car may suddenly die on me while on the road. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Problem solved (I believe), it was a loose ground cable on the battery. The car had been in the shop for some work where they had to disconnect the battery, and they neglected to tighten it (try to figure that one out). Man, was I lucky, could have been a disaster.
