If it's run into the factory amp, then I would guess that the factory amp is shot. You can easily bypass the factory amp. It's recommended if you want the improved sound quality of aftermarket components.

i had the same problem. i tried to bypass the amp but theres a ton of wires that don't seem right. any tips?

keith2shrum1 02-19-2009 12:05 AM

thats what i figured i would have to do is there any bypass kits that i can buy and if so do you know where. thanks for the tip

keith2shrum1 02-19-2009 09:54 PM

ok so now i get sound but only for about 20 minutes then it goes out again i have checked every thing and i don't know what to do

tree36 02-20-2009 09:38 AM

what did you do to get the sound back? Or is it just random

keith2shrum1 02-20-2009 10:26 AM

its just random it sat overnight and i started it up in the morning and they worked but only for about 20 minutes.

tree36 02-23-2009 09:24 AM

is your head unit good? idk hmm thats strange.

keith2shrum1 02-23-2009 09:33 AM

yes the head unit is brand new i even tried 3 different ones and it does the same thing

tree36 02-26-2009 09:12 AM

do your speakers crackle or does it just immediately cut out without warning?

keith2shrum1 02-26-2009 01:12 PM

it just straight cuts out no cracking or anything just goes off like someone flipped a switch but the head unit still works just no sound at all

tree36 03-03-2009 09:30 AM

wow. i really have no idea. Maybe just bad wires? check all of the wires around your amp and see if anything looks loose. i really am stumped tho.
