bluish/whiteish smoke when accelerating?

hey guys i have an e36 316i.

when ever i accelerate my car usually after 5000 rpm gives out bluish white smoke. it idles fine when engine is warm. the smoke is not black..what might be the problem?

also my car runs like its really choked as in it feels like iam driving a truck. its like somethings holding it back?hardly good acceleration or power.

its really annoying small suzukis pass me by

Blue smoke means engine oil is entering combustion chamber, probably through the piston rings and being burned. Pull the plugs and see if there is oily gunk on them? Having a compression and leak down test done will give you an accurate condition of the engine ? GL
