engine swap help
i got a 95 318i that i recently blew the motor in. a few people told me i should just do the 325 swap in my car instead of swaping another 318 motor in it. i was thinking and wanted to know from a few people who has done this swap before what exactly i need to do it. as in which year engine to look for, the 2.5 right? wire harness, ect. also i will not be swapping it myself ill most likely take it somewhere and have them do it if theres not much to it. thanks everyone

Along with the previous response, you might be getting into more than you think, transmission and exhaust system being two other major considerations aside from the engine in this proposed undertaking. For sure it can be done, but at what cost? It seems you'd be better off putting in another 4-cylinder engine and leaving it at that.
