i cant figure this lock problem out

my driver door lock wont double lock or roll up the windows. my passenger lock does and the trunk also double locks.
I checked the switches on the srtikers and all seemed to work the interior lights fine so I assume that means they are ok.

so I decide to open the driver door panel up. what do I find ? a wire dangling that had been severed by the window i guess. so I think I have it figured out, I splice the wire back together and plug it back in. Immediately with the door open and the key not in the door the window rollup procedure starts and all my windows roll up.I check the door lock and it still wont double lock. I go to the passenger side and it doesnt double lock any more nor the trunk. I unplug the drivers door plug and they go back to working again. \

is there a switch on the door handle for my car? if there is a switch,
to me it seems as though there is a switch stuck in the closed position on the driver door since the windows rolled up as soon as I plugged it in and the other locks must think that the doors are already double locked so they wont do the double lock. does this make sence? maybe this was unplugged purposly do to problems that may have occured to the prev. owner before I fixed the trunk harness wires. (5 exposed wires and 1 hanging by one thread)

is there a seperate plug going into the door lock control module under glovebox for both the pass and drivers side?

by the way the driver door does double lock when locked from the passnger side or trunk
also I have already repaired my trunks harness wires so they shoulnt be the problem.
all my actuators work fine.

anyone have any ideas

I am unclear on what you mean by double-locking, but the when I was in my door repairing a window scissors that broke due to the stop being adjusted incorrectly at the factory, I noticed that there is a microswitch above the key lock in the door. That is the switch that rolls up the windows if you turn your key far enough and hold it. Good luck getting to it without taking all the hardware out of the door. Yuch!

There are two more microswitches in the lock actuator. The logic of the door locks and immobilizer is beyond my reach.
