Is this too much mileage for the swap?
i think it is more important that the cams are in good shape.

I did some research (okay I called my mechanic) and he said it COULD work, but for the amount of labor that will go in isn't worth it. According to him, the cam lopes aren't much bigger on the 3.0 m3 cams compared to the 2.8 cams. He said gains would be minimal and probably not worth it. You'd also need some custom software burned (shark injector) to accomodate the cams as well as heavier poundage injectors.

When I did my swap, I put 3.2l cams into a 2.8 and had a custom chip made along with heavier injectors. I've so far run into no problems except speeding all over the god damn place...

If I were you, I would get some 3.2 cams and go with those.

Also there is a place in Seattle that I shipped my intake cam to to have it machined because it looked like some sort of metal piece had went through the head and left a couple of the lopes scorned. Anyways, I shipped it from a place in CDA, Idaho called Euro Machines, owner's name is Jason and I had it back in 2 days in perfect condition. Only cost me 100 bucks. Amazing job the guy did over in Seattle. I don't know who it was, so I would suggest calling Jason at Euro Machine's if this becomes an issue. 12086673163

thanks for the insight JR! So the cams are a no go at this point in time

I also have a Rieger Infinity I bumper already painted that I can get off of a local guy. He wants $500. Is this too much?

Well already painted, I'd say no... as long as the paint is good and it matches good. A new bumper will cost you 200-300 + shipping usually. And paint is anywhere from 200-300 for a good job. So I'd say go for it.

500 seems like a little too much for a used bumper. i would save your money for the cams. cams would be much more enjoable than a new bumper. are you also planning on getting the other reiger peices? imo the bumper wouldlook funny on its own.

No I don't plan on getting a rear diffuser any time soon. And I agree 500 is a bit high, was gonna offer him 400-450
