Unhappy cadillac converter

heyyy..okay so ive never done this b4..hoping someone out there can push me in a right direction...but i went to get my 318i inspected today & go figure with my luck it wont pass...it needs a cadillac converter & the cheapest one i found was a little over $400... n e one have a better idea? ...i know very little about cars...what could go wrong if i dont get it replaced right away? ...that & theres also an emissions leak? ...wtf is that? ...& how expensive?? thankss!!

The best place to get one is a cadillac dealer, I don't know about the price but you should pass then.


If all else fails, try various muffler shops.

i think he means catalytic converter.
you can try some muffler shops for one that is interchangable with yours or junk yards for a used OE one.
