abs light on

Hi everyone, new to the community.
I have a '94 325i with 85000 miles, and the abs light comes on from time to time. When ever I start the car the light is off, but 5 to 30 minutes in to the drive it comes on. Please help.
Thanks.

The first likely cause is that you need to replace the brake fluid.

just have the code read...... could be something as simple as a speed sensor or brake position sensor......... too many possibilities to just start changing things

It could be the ABS relay needs changing. Check the simple things first.

it could be that the wheel speed sensors that control the abs or something like that is dirty. my abs light has been on for a while, untill we got a huge rain storm a couple days ago. I drove through a bunch of huge puddles and now the light is off. easy fix

i agree with peterkdenny you need to chk the speed sensors and try to clean them and make sure that they are working (if one of them not working all ABS will not respond), and also replace the break oil

i think their just little wires that that connect somewhere on each hub. if you take your wheel off, it should be the only wire there, unless theres also a brake pad sensor wire

The problem could also be caused from faulty bearings as well as wheel speed sensors. I'm more thinking wheel bearings since it comes on after driving.
