Headlight Lense

I've been working through a laundry list of things that I want to do to my 1993 BMW 325is and now I've reached the headlights. The headlight lenses have grown warn and I would like to replace them. Do I have to change out the whole headlight or can I just get the lenses, and if so, where do I get them? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What happens to the headlight outer lenses is the same as sun faded paint when they are plastic. As with paint, a strong compound can remove the oxidized layers. And also as with paint, prevention by car wax works perfectly, on all plastic lights. If they are very bad, it may be possible to replace just the outer lenses.

It's only possible to replace the lenses on European headlights. I'll assume you don't have those because they wouldn't oxidize anyway- they're glass.

you can restore them I do it for a living. they have to besanded down by someone who knows what theyare doing then brought back to smooth then cleaned and polished. they'll look good as new. brand new divit free surface with no oxidation. cant do the fogs though theyre glass. If you were in nashville id do them for you.
