Bass in yur face - Subwoofer install!!!!
My car's a '93 318is coupe. I have installed 6x9's in the parcel shelf and have a 12" Rockford sub.(awaiting installation) Currently the sub is boxed in a ported enclosure but the bass is trapped in the boot. The back seat in my car does not have a ski hatch so how do I install the sub????
I have been surfing the web for weeks to find solutions but have so far found squat!!
Now I know the sub has gotta be boxed but how do I get the bass into the cabin???
Someone out there must have had the same dilemma...

I took out the seat and ran the wire through the wall there and just lived with the dampened bass. I had 2 12"s though so I'm not sure if the one you have hits gard enough to work in that set-up. Good luck.

Just one hell of a sub
thanks for the reply. I have a rockford 12" punch so it's up for the job just makes the parcel shelf rattle like hell! I'm putting down some dynamat this weekend so that'll help.
Some of the guys our there have drilled holes in the metal under the shelf! Dunno but it looks like I'm gonna have to go that route.

Thats about all you can do unless you wire it up to the factory amp. At least on my E34 the factory amp can be accessed on the trunk lid...I'm sure the factory amp isn't enough watts for you though.
in dudesky's E36 he punched out ski hole. if you fold down the arm rest in the back seat, you should be able remove the leather panel that hides the stamping on the rear wall. they are supposedly all stamped out. dudesky popped it out and faced the sub in there, then always left the armrest down.
