I've seen these done before, but it might not fit without some modifications. I wouldn't know what they are, if there are any. I assume you mean the S54 motor?

Yeah its the S54 motor, With a six speed! My real question is about the shifter??? I can mod out the engine all i want, but I don;t want to touch the interior, Will the shifter come up in the same place as the original???

This is going to cost you around $10,000 and is going to be very difficult. The wiring harness is a BITCH to get right. If your going to have someone do this for you, its going to be hard to find someone that can do it first of all, and then its going to cost you a TON. Kudos for you though if you get it done. Start a build thread if you go through with it

I have the engine, full wiring harness, and ecu, along with other things! It's just me so I hope I can get it done! Most of my friends aren;t mechanically inclined! So I'm pretty sure I'm going solo on this one! ??? How do I start a build thread????

As said earlier in this thread, the wiring is a bitch. I have never heard of anyone who has done it, but I think its possible. But If u want it to work, u will have to get the abs sensors from an e46 aswell, cause the ecu is dependent on respons from abs sensors.
I have thought about this myself, but if I would have done this I would just thrown away the original ecu and get myself an autronic or haltech.

Yeah thats a good idea, I thought about getting a haltech, but just haven't got the whole plan set out yet, just paying for the engine, tranny, and wiring harness was the first thing! BUt good idea, thanx
