Slotted or cross drilled rotors are overkill for most people, if you are not at the track I personally see no reason to have them they will not help you stop any faster and your probably not getting the brakes hot enough long enough for any real benefit. A cross drilled rotor you run a higher chance of cracking the disc and you need to get a real one that has chamfered holes not a cheapy that was drilled out so they could sell them for more. I would be more interested in a slotted rotor then a drilled rotor for the street, but i would probably just go with a nice brembo blank and save some money. If you want them for looks its all a matter of personal choice.

+1 on Brembo blanks if you are not tracking or doing extensive 5 hr. mountain runs.
As far as exhaust, I would hit youtube and try to find some clips that show them installed and give you sound bites. There are a lot of choices out there, do your research. Oh wait.... its Johnny, there will be plenty of research. You seem to make consistently educated and tasteful decisions. I am now eager to potentially copy you.

Well! P, we do have something in common already, a family! I have a wife & 3 kids! And if you want to be a carbon copy of me you'll have to age about 10 years, although everybody seems to think I'm in my early 30's!

I'll have to correct you on that; the mufflers and resonators are aluminized with a high temp paint and stainless piping. The stainless exhausts are completely stainless with no high temp paint.
Cheers,

aluminized exhausts arent too good, probably fine with the paint on them though. My golfs is aluminized, I think that I need to paint it or something..

Remus gets my vote. My 540 rumbles nicely, without being annoying. I keep getting compliments from people on how muscular it sounds. The car is a V8, so fewer cylinders may have a less appealing sound, I don't know.
