Talking Hey all, New here! Looking to buy E36...

Hey everyone! I am new here and am really excited about getting a BMW. I really like the E36 series. Went to a used car dealer just to test drive one, and I fell in love. Wow.

Anyhow, with what I have found on this forum so far is when I buy one, replace the T/S, Water pump, flush coolant, tranny, oil, etc... BTW I will be getting a 5 speed.

Is there any particular year I should look at? The one I tested was a 1996 328i.

Also, is there any other specific things I should look for?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

BTW, I am seriously looking at this one. http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/car/577545476.html

wow that does look like a good car. and a very decent price. how many miles are on it?

If the miles are any less than 200,000, i would look into that car seriously. I have a '95 325i, and i am very happy with it, and i would not part with it except to get another BMW 3 series like an M3.

My car just rolled over to 200,000 miles, and all i have done to that car as far as mainenance is a new radiator, new rear shocks, and i change the oil regularly with 15W-50 synthetic.

Looks like a nice car, might want to check these issues out when you look at it:
