Noisy Exhaust

I didn't like the Exhaust sound of my 325i, spcially when driving in downtown, the sound become much noisy and come insid the car which noise me and my wife ( she feel relax with 320i ).

There is no problem with the exhaust like holes which making much sound.

And since that the US exhaust reduce the engine HP, so I have to replace the exhaust by another , but with a little bet quiet sound. also I dont want to reduce the performance of the engine.

I was thinking to have an exhaust sound like Porche. It's performance sound and not so noisy sound.

What causing that sound coming inside and making noise for me. Is it normal like that??

What do you advise me to get of this bad noise, and get better performace & sound?

Note : I'll make the exhaust in an exhaust manufature in my city, they R Distribuing thier exhausts for all axhust servces in my city, and they have exhaust service, and they can make any sound that you want.
I'll not buy through Internet.

Max, my guess is that its an older exhaust and that the baffles on the inside have rusted or broken and that you may or may not have other places where there may be holes. This is usually normal when the exhaust gets a little bit older, my e30s last one was pretty noisy until I got my suspersprint.

my baffles were starting to go and in high revs i was starting to get that old gm 6 cylinder rumble that sounds like shit. i picked up an E36 M3 muffler for 100 bucks and it looks better, sounds smoother and is a tad louder. a guy at work had virtually the same car as me and it didnt make any sound diff whatsoever so it might be because of the M50 manifold swap and debaffled intake i dunno

Is it peformance exhaust or just replacment.

Do you feel any change in the performance, is it better ?

there is some thing about the exhaust sys. I dont anderstand it. If you make your exhaust sys. with high sound , will it givs you better performance than if you make it silence???

Because that Manufacture told me, If U need real performance you will get sound in your exhaust sys.!!!

Get a Dinan exaust. Those sound sooo good. Deep and mean, but still quiet. That would solve your noisy exaust problem. I've heard them on several e46 M3s and e39 5's and M5s.

I quite like my supersprint, its quiet but makes a sweet noise when you step on it.

Dinan?? I know it , It's very quality exhaust, supersprint too.
but I think that's much expensive. Isn't it??
How much it coast??
the manufacturer in my country can do any sound that I want, and he is famus in doing Borla exhaust ( I mean like Borla ).
If I can get the diagram or draw of interior design of Dinan or supersprint, I can give it to them and maybe they can make it for me.
