Question T-stat going out?

Symptoms:

- when ideling, temp goes to normal. does not overheat or anything. Heat is blowing great.
- When car is moving, temp goes to almost to blue from normal (mid position) - ie like i had just started the car and little heat.

Do you think my T-stat is messed up?
appreciate any help.

Thanks.

my car is E36 its temp always in the mid position (when stop or moving),after that i replace my radiator (old one was leaking) with new one then once the car is stop its temp gose to mid position but it takes longer time than the old one to get mid position , and when the car is moving its temp retain to quarter position , i notice that my car AT gearbox act better when the temp is in mid position ,
but i dont know exactely it wil affect the engine head ?or its normal?

that's exactely was happening in my last 320i, it was ok, I note that after I replaced the fan clutch. But I feel it's normal.

Also while driving, the temp going down specially in winter. because the air comming directly to the engine. that's because the blastic covers which is inside the bumber and the down cover of the engine is removed. So the engine cant reach the mid temp. or save it's temp for long time.

for me that's good for the summer time, but for winter that's a very bad thing.
