E36 Climate Control Removal
Hello, I am having an issue with my climate control unit (this is the unit with the dials, NOT the digital unit ). I wanna remove it and take a look at it. I followed other directions online, and they say to pop out the onboard computer, then stick your finger behind the climate control unit and push it out. I tried this, but the climate control unit won't budge at all. Am I doing something wrong? can someone tell me how to properly remove the unit?? Thanks!

Im having the same exact problem.
However, I have also unscrewed the two screws behind the two big dials.
But, I still cant get the ac out, becuase its to wide push out from its hole.

Ok, I found out... red the service manual.... u first have to unscrew the two screws behind the big knobs.... then, remove front panel on the a/c.... and then push the a/c unit back, and down.. and slide it out the MID slot... should work

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem with my 95 325is. I know its been a while but do you remember how it came out, did you have to disconnect the wire harness first or anything special? Mine keeps getting stuck, it doesn't want to go down, I've tried back and front first. Any help would be appreciated. Stan
