Unhappy ebrake boot removal

I need a little help. I'm replacing the ebrake boot & can't seem to get the handle off. I unscrewed the button on the end, but can't get the handle to budge. Am I missing something? I've done a search, but I guess I'm the only one here this stupid.

My handle just slides right off. Maybe you're not pulling hard enough. Check out this site http://www.realoem.com/bmw/
It will show you the parts of your car.

Twist it left and right while pushing foward. They are tight but it will come off.
