ecu problem..realy need advice

hey, there seems to be a problem with my ecu..i was wondering if i could just put in any e36 ecu or if i need to have a specific 320i ecu...if any1 could help me out it would be great..when i had a look at my ecu it looked like some rain might have gotten into it because it was sort of rusted..

After checking some parts sites, it seems that the ECU is specific to the type of E36.
