Chirping Noise

Hey Everyone,

Im new to this forum, and I was wondering if you guys can help me out. I have a 1995 325is with 114000 miles. I am getting a really weird noise from the heater. It happens only when I have the heat on and not the AC. It sounds like a high pitch chirping (almost like a bird) It usually happens when I am driving for a little bit (like 15 min) It is definitley when the heat is on cause when I shut it off it stops. It is really annoying! Any Suggestions?
Thanks I appreciate it.

yeah, its def the fan. in mild cases, it will stop if you change the fan speed.

sorry, dunno how accessible the E36's cabin fan is the fortunate thing is that, aside from the noise it makes, in most cases its fine and will operate for years to come. so actually fixing it probably isnt worth the effort.

Mine does the same thing, and it has for four years now. Personally, I don't know how to fix it, so I've stopped caring since it causes no real problem.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I was planning on leaving it alone but just thought I see if it was anything to be concerned about and if it was an easy fix.
