Hi people
i have a slightly annoying problem with my car .the heater element(light) on the dash has stopped working and now the plugs which are pretty new have stopped working .im trying to work out which of the relays it could be in the fuse box .i have a haynes manual for this car but i cant find the answers there can any one please help me sort this before i have to pay a machanic
What is the heater element light on the dash? What are the plugs? Fuses? Spark plugs? And what real problems is this causing with the car? Can you still drive it? Is it just annoying? I think we're going to need some specifics here.

His car is a diesel. The plugs are pre-start cylinder heaters called glow plugs. They preheat the cylinders for about 15 seconds or so before engine start. Diesels are compression ignition engines, there are no spark plugs. The dash light probably indicates when glow plugs are done and you can start the engine, as to what relay, I'm not sure (my diesel know how comes from the family boat)
