325i Intake sensor?
While recently replacing my stock intake with a cold air intake, I noticed a sensor bolted on to the bottom of the original intake assembly, holding it in place. What exactly does this sensor do?
It senses the outside air temp and triggers the flow of antifreeze to warm the air at the throttle body. Hence the two hoses connected to it. Mainly effective in the winter months. But don't disconnect it, or you'll end up with idling issues. Just keep it as close as possible to fresh air.
