Upgrade Time!

All right, it's been a while since my car has gotten any love... so probably next week I'm going to do some work on it.

Right now I have an M50 Intake Manifold, M3 XBrace, and UUC Pulleys I need to get installed. I'll get that all on.

And I'll have about a grand to throw around, do you guys think I should go Velocity Motoring VB-1 rims (link) or a UUC System U to complete my exhaust (except manifold) and get the sound? I'm also thinking about O2 Emulators to fix my check engine light from no cat... but anyone have any idea how much those run?

The emulators for my old Trans-am were about $30 each. Have no idea what they cost for BMW's. I vote for wheels and hopefully tires to match

i say rims. no question about it.

I am also interested in these emulators as well, as to what they do, how much they run, etc.

I don't have any experience with simulators but I know that AA sells them w/ their OBD II track pipe. I would contact them first and see if they can help you at all.

And do the rims before the exhaust. I think you have enough performance mods lined up right now anyway.

All right, I'll give them a call. Yeah, if I did exhaust it'd be for the sound obviously. You get almost no gains from exhaust.

However if I get that and an exhaust manifold, my entire intake and exhaust system would be aftermarket...

ok komodo I have heard your car and you DEFINITLY w.o a doubt need exhaust way before rims. No doubt your car sounded amazing from the front but from the back.... alot of ppl at the meet were questioning why ur stock exhaust was rattling like crazy and raspy as hell. One guy was wondering why is sounds "so bad" but he wasnt standing by the engine. I'd get that system U or Rsc36 from UUC and keep the sleeper look for awhile, then get the rims.

also with x-pipes and a manifold you'll make well over 10 hp gains easy, but not so much at peak hp.
