On diffsonline.com, why are 3.91 gears so cheap?

Theyre sunbelt cams, theyre being developed by a guy over at bimmerworld racing. The cams out now are specifically made for the s52, but compatible with the s50. Im not sure about the m52, but ive heard that they have good cam profiles for the 2.5L and 2.8L as well. They are special order though, because they are not as high volumn as the s52 cams (at least thats what ive heard).

Also, i dont know why i said solid lifters, with uprated valve springs 7800 rpm's is possible. Obviously with solid lifters in excess of 8000 is easily possible.

A diff would be nice, but make sure you get all that stuff in ur car before the diff. Dont go to narrow on the diff either, isn't the 328i a 4 speed?

edit : 4 speed auto?

^^^no, 5-speed. and that's a good idea david. A diff. would definately be able to get you the speed and acceleration you want with those mods.

Erm, we had a small issue with investors today, so my upgrade spree might be delayed about a week.

Still happening though obviously.

i did not install my diff, but as far as i know it is relatively straight forward. you need to swap the input flange and output flanges so the diff will bolt up. i hear it does not take much more than an hour.
