Paint Color Opinions?
<<= I'm getting this car repainted and I'm not sure whether to leave it red or go with black or blue or something. The car is stored outside, so maybe not black, but it would look godly. Plus I have a nice cover I could use. Any suggestions?

i would say red. If not red then paint it the new color of the E92 335's....its like montego blue metallic.
ohhhhh shits. love that color.

I agree with witeshark, getting every bit of red covered is an undertaking in itself. Go with a Ferrari blood red, it's so red that it looks 3D...although 307 green is nice
i would only go to a different color if i had gutted the car to just the chassis and body panels by itself. otherwise, i would stick with near the same color.

I think I might go with like a metallic red-orange.
I got a quote that it was going to be $5000 to do the whole car from one place and like $100 at another, both fairly reputable places. Anyone know why? I think it's because one place is more collision repair and the other does more painting and detailing.

I would say go red and have them do your skirts and bumpers to match. Your prices don't sound consistent and I would be questioning the place that says $100 seems way way way way too cheap to be getting a good job, $5000 seems more in line with a good job.
How bad is the paint on it, maybe the detailing place gave you a price for a detail. Some good old fasioned elbow work can really work wonders on the paint, I would suggest a good wash/clay/wax before you spend the cash on a paint job, because it might end up looking better then you thought.

I am looking into why it's so cheap by asking some previous customers of theirs, but I've tried some pretty serious detailing myself that hasn't really worked and its going to be at least a hundred to get it buffed and touch up is even more. Even if it's not that great of a job, if I get a dark color, it won't really show.

Umnitza now provides a mechanic to install all parts ordered right in the box! It's their new "Total customer service program" that will eliminate all the haters and keep incompetents from breaking **** and blaming the vendor! When you are all set simply call INS and they will pick him up free of charge.

I am a fan of Interlagos blue on the E39 M5 or Mauritus Blue on the E34 M5. I think they only did that blue on the euroversions, 93-95. I love the blues though.
