clutch issues
hello all. i need some advice: last week my clutch began to feel alot softer than before, when i say softer i mean the biting point isnt as obvious, it still bites in the same place ( about 3/4 of the way down) but i cant feel it bite. also when i push the pedal in and out when the engine is off it makes a weird squeeky noise. any one got any ideas as to why it is doing this? the car has only covered 60k miles so im assuming the clutch wouldnt be worn out already as it isnt slipping either. :thud thanks in advance steve.

slave cylinder going? I really don't know, my e36 isnt going to be manual for a few months yet so I might know by then.

yea its either your pressure point or your slave cylinder, maybe it has some air in the hydraulic line, who knows

I would start with the easy/cheap stuff first.
Bleed the entire system and see if it gets better. If not if could be the slave, master, or clutch itself. Not much help I know, but all three can cause this issue. |
