1999 M3 Conv. E36 radio problem
 

I have a Harman Kardon sound system and just recently my radio deck is not sending signal to the speakers so there's no volume but everything else works on it like the cd changer and the radio. But, sometimes the volume comes on for a couple minutes then goes off. Does anyone know what the problem is? Please help!
