==> Leaking Thermostat...

I installed a new cooling sys. in my bimmer and am still overheating due to air getting in the sys. Upon closer inspection I saw that the top of my new thermostat housing was leaking slightly and not air tight. Not good. I put on a new gasket and used the right bolts to connect, so I'm not sure why this is happening. For instruction I used http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...Thermostat.htm because it seemed like a good tutorial. The problem is that the thermostat housing in their pic was different than mine in regard to they put the thermostat in first then the housing over it and on mine the thermostat came attached to the housing, because there were 2 clips holding in the thermostat, so I just attached the housing with the thermostat inside right to the block. Since I still have the leak I was thinking about using the black silicon even though my heat isn't worn. What do you guys think? THANK YOU!!!
