==> Water pump broke off while I was removing it...

I'm stuck. I used the 2 M6 screws to pry off the water pump. I was doing it as evenly as I could. It was hard because a fin coming off of the bottom of the water pump kept on getting in the way of the screw and I can't fit my ratchet in there all the way. Anyways, I was loosening it and the top of the pump, where the M6 bolt goes to pry it off, broke off. This damn pump is stuck on the block so hard that I don't think I'll ever get it off. What is going on?
