And me still doin my clutch

Its now been almost a month that me bebe has been on jack stands.
It took me a week and a half to get the very top transmission bolt off (which got stripped). Finally some weird damaged bolt remover got the grip on it. So i get the flywheel out and take it get machined, and BAAAM......they can't do it because its a dual mass piece of sh*t. The extremely helpful local tuning shop actually got me an amazing deal on a fidanza aluminum flywheel....i only paid $570 for it! Week later it comes in and BAAAAM....you can only use it with an m3 clutch.....so the SPEC stage one clutch i had wouldn't work with the flywheel, so i now placed an order on the m3 SPEC stage 1 clutch. Shoud be in a few days, but yeah, my advice to anyone planning on doing their clutch, is get the flywheel, get the clutch, and make sure the pressure plate will FIT onto the flywhheel BEFORE your transmission is off!

Was something wrong with the flywheel? I wouldn't even have bothered with it. I didn't do it on my 325.

When my cousin and I did his M3, he wanted to take it apart first and then get the parts we needed... trouble is that it sat on ramps/jack stands for about 5 weeks before the parts came in.

I'll agree with you, max, research and buy the parts before you start a project. Good advice man.
