1992 318i plug wires

I pulled my spark plug wires and lost track of which order they hook up to the coil packs. Can somebody help me?

a picture of someone else's 318 probably would be your best bet, or if you could find a wiring diagram it will tell you which one to connect to which

Dunno if this helps, but the firing order is 1-3-4-2.

Okay, I lost the cord to my camera in the move back to college, so a verbal explanation will have to do. Sorry.

From the front of the car, I'll call the first cylinder #1 with the last being #4. The longest wire goes into #4. It kinks backwards before going in the hole. The shortest wire goes in #3. The next, slightly longer one goes in #2. And finally the next, slightly longer one than #2 goes in #1. Wires 1-3 should lay straight while the wire for #4 will turn back before going in its place.

Hope that helps!
