e36 abs idiot light
have the last 99 e36 323ic, my abs light goes on, after the second start of the day and does not go off, until the following day, when restarted. The code that comes up after the light is on, is that the abs pump is faulty. i am wondering if this could be relay related, or any brainstormers out there that might know what the cause would be.

Try and reset the codes. This can be done on some, if not most, E36's by disconnecting the battery for a while.
Do you have a Bentley Manual?

Many ABS pump relays prior to 05/96 were defective, but that doesn't apply to you. Still, it may be that your relays are going bad prematurely. That would be where you should start, and hopefully that's it. If not, you may have to get it looked at by an authorized service center. The Bentley doesn't cover ABS repairs
