I drive a 96 328i. its not a bad car it handles very well. supposedly I have 190hp (my engine is all stock). its a 96 I doubt that the engine still runs at 190hp. so I have a question. ive got some money to blow on my ride, and im looking forward to increasing the Horsepower of my ride without blowing the bank know what I mean? the question is what cheap upgrades can I buy for my ride to increase HP and performance???

Well the cheapist way to go if you ask me is a chip, depending on what chip you get.

How many miles? Well anyway, before mods I'd do an oil and coolant change even if it's a bit early. Is your water pump newish?

kasei- to my knowledge, no chip is produced for the e36 328i.

shark- its got 106K on it. it had one owner an enthusiast the car has all maintance records etc very good shape.

oil was changed a month or so ago. need to do the coolant thing.
have no clue about the water pump bro.
what mods can I do to it the engine or anything else on the car to boost hp without sacraficing shitloads of cash?

With a well maintained engine, I'd say it's good as it came right out of the box

One obvious upgrade would be the M50 manifold conversion, and I believe there exists a Conforti Shark Injector software upgrade to complement it.

the best way to up the hp is to get a turbo in order for the chip to give it the maximum hp you need to change the whole computer or re-program and that's more than a turbo but it depends how much you want to spend a stage 1 turbo is like 3-4k

im sure if I do the m50 manifold conversion, shark it, and do a k&n intake its should yield around 30 to 40hp gains no?

maybe 40 crank yeah. But with S52 cams (ones from the 3.2L M3 96-99) you could probably get 40 to the wheels give or take. Oh and with an exhaust also.

what about the conforti shark injector where can I get taht from
I know bavauto carries it but damn the price is jacked on it
