rain + mud +RWD isnt a good mix

i went to a hill climbing event yesterday and as usual english weather was being "iffy" and parking for this event was in a field. what the hell i thought ill go for it will probs get in. BAD MOVE. i got half way in the field and then lost all traction as it was going up a hill in about 2 foot of mud lol. ended up having to be towed in. getting out was fun but this time i managed it with just a push as it was downhill, i feel sorry for the guy that had to push me tho. lol
the pics are of me at the top of the field after being pulled out the mud.

and some pics after i cleaned it today, note the new clear indicators and new rear lights

still a bit of mud left on it lol. woops

Oh well, nothing like a touch of embarrassment to keep us in touch with the simple folk... Actually I had a similar situation, only it was in winter on a sloped, slushy, icy parking lot surface. I could go down the slope just fine (duh), the problem was I needed to go up in order to get out. Fortunately there was a fellow operating a pickup with a plow at the time, and he took pity on me, cleared a path for me, and I escaped, grateful for there being kind souls.

Nice looking car you have there (especially without the mud on it).

lol, i realise that now. most cars were struggling but eventually got in. me on the other hand just sat there sliding all over the place flicking mud everywhere lol. there was only 1 other car that needed towing out the mud and surprise surprise it was a 5 series. was all good fun tho. had a laugh.

whats different with euro bumpers? i didnt realise there was any.

I don't know about the bumpers but I'm envious of your license plates. MD gets screwed double time cuz not only do we have the ugly US plates but we have to have them on the front of our cars too

I'd never even think about taking my car off road! Glad you got it out though.
