Sunroof Issues
Well I Just Bought A 92 325i...the Car Was Well Taken Care Of...and Look Beutiful...everything Works In The Car....but The Sunroof Seems To Have Some Problems...it Opens Up But Doesnt Slide Back...just Wondering Is There A Way To Fix It...with Out Fking Up Something Else....also When I Push On The Clutch To Change Gears...it Kinda Makes A Weird Sound And Idles High For Like A Second Then Goes Back To Normal...is This Normal...and I Have A Button Between The Window Buttons That Has No Indications Of Being Anything...its Black And You Can Puch It Down But I Dont Know What It Does.....

The simpler stuff first... that button you're referring to I think is the child safety window switch, in other words, when it's activated, the kids in the back can't operate the windows. Not sure what the clutch issue is, and as for the rpms hanging up, that's somewhat normal for emissions purposes, but if it's really out of the ordinary, you may have a vacuum leak or some other emissions related thing going on. For the sunroof, do a search of the site for more details, you may have a broken actuator arm.

I have exactly same problem with my new 97 328.
1. did you ever fix your sliding problem?
2. mine idles high too between shifting
I searched and cleaned the ICV but problem persists.

Your Ride: 1993 318is
for the sliding problem, i have a 93' 318i. when the sun roof opens it slides the bottom part inside the roof. when i close the sunroof, i have to manually grab the bottom part and pull it back out, after the top part automatically closes.
