Well I've done some research and I think its ok to leave the stock valvetrain on M52s, but with M50s you will need to get stronger springs or buy Non-Vanos M50 (double springs).
Yea i was thinking about buying a non vanos head and scavenging the springs and the cams, the non-vanos cams are a bit hotter compared the the vanos ones.
Some beleive the s50 was based off of the non-vanos.
