i have a short shift kit in my 318...its night and day difference. I hate driving cars without a short shift kit.

I have a B and M kit in the 318. got it for free but i wouldnt mind paying full price for what i got. Its alot more fun to drive.

never used the UUC one, i believe the B/M has the shortest throw. atleast for the E30. I say save the money up for it and get it. its the first thing i plan to do to any car i buy from now on.

i am using a mz3 shifter which gives a 33 percent reduction in throw. i believe you could use a 328 shifter for the same reduction.

In my VW changing out some of the bushings, along with a short shifter helped a lot.
