Car Problems!?
I noticed today, this morning actually, there is a high pitched whine coming from under my hood. Its like "wheeeeee" (in a high pitch). It will go up and down with the acceleration/deceleration of the car. Anyone know what I'm talking about? If so. Any thoughts on what it might be? I know its not the timing belt, bc BMW uses chains Could it be the power steering? or the belt between the alternator and the cooling fan?      Sorry just wanted to use some of the new smileys.

Could be belt related. A bad pully, bearings starting to go inside one of your accessories. Try different things when it happens. Turn the wheels and see if the noise changes, turn on all your electrical items and see if your alternater makes more noise, it could even be your water pump. |
