engine size

watts the size of my engine.what i mean is my clock as 160 mph is that what 318is have on the clock a fella down the shop said 2ltr not so sure i bought it as a 1.8i on the book i think i ain't got the book yet but it was advertised as an 1.8i so any help would b sweet

1992 E36 318is has an M42 motor i believe. You also have a knock sensor, which my 1991 does not have.http://www.esatclear.ie/~bpurcell/318isengine.html

heres a link. If you have a different intake manifold then you have an M44..which is a 1.9 liter, but i think thats only 1994 and up.

tell u watt i'll put up a pic & u guys can tell me watt..i must say since i bought this i like the drive wow!it's like driving a gocart
thats with the set up i have on the car witch ive no idea watt
da feck im on about.i no im rambling buts that watt i do after
a few ive been offerd 4g might take it & go to uk by a 96 or sobut aint 94 on computer .& watt ive read thay seem to be a pain in da ass ive nout like that on my 318is or am i wrong again
