would an early e36 325i tolerate full synthetic oil?

I know normal Castrol 10W-30 is what your supposed to put in, but would synthetic perhaps be better for it in the summeR?

providing it doesn't leak or burn oil - synthetic would be better year round. Especially winter, easier starts when cold.
