318is lights on windows don't work

Sons 1993 318is windows do not work when the headlights are on. Turn the lights off and the windows work normally.

I bet he spilled something into the window switches - soda, coffee, etc.. and I suspect his window switches are the illuminated ones. try unplugging the window switches one at a time and see which one is shorted accross the circuit - (unplug one and try others while lights are on) Could also be the window relay because it's power source crosses the interior lights path when headlights are on.
