cigarette lighter bulb

Hi all I have a 1996 bmw 318is I was wondering how do you change the bulb in the cigarette lighter housing, when I turn my night lights on the one for my cigarette lighter won't light up Thanks.Please Help

I don't know but I imagine you will have to remove the whole plastic panel.

yeah... the panel around your lighter (w/ probably the whole climate control section) should come out & you can replace it then... just a couple screws (if it's anything like mine)

The switch panel where the lighter is located is a one piece panel which includes the pocket above it. Feel for a hole at the bottom of the multifunction display (MFD), put your finger in it to pull the display unit forward. The MFD should now simply come out. Once that's removed you'll have room to slide the pocket upwards and out. Then you'll be able to access the bulb.
